Every Child Deserves to Be Heard
Cherished Hearts CAC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing trauma-informed support to children and families navigating abuse investigations in Jones County — at no cost, ever.
What We Do
Forensic Interviews - A Safe Place to Share
Kids tell their story just once in a calm, child-friendly setting — recorded to reduce trauma and avoid repeated questioning.
Family Advocacy - Guidance Through the Storm
Our advocates help caregivers understand the process, connect with support, and feel confident in their next steps.
Community Education - Prevention Through Education
We train schools, churches, and organizations to recognize abuse and keep children safe in their everyday lives.
Your Support Makes Healing Possible
When abuse is suspected, children and caregivers face overwhelming fear and uncertainty. We coordinate a child-centered response — one that protects their voice, their dignity, and their future. Every service is free to families, thanks to support from people like you.
Miles Saved
Before we opened, families had to drive out-of-county for services.
Total Children Served
Every service is 100% free — thanks to our community supporters, grants, and donations from people like you.
Inverview Per Child
Limiting interviews means less trauma and a faster path healing.
More Than a Building
When a child walks through our doors, they’re met with warmth, not interrogation. Every corner of our center is designed to make them feel safe, supported, and heard. It’s not just where we work — it’s where hope begins.

What exactly does Cherished Hearts CAC do?
We provide forensic interviews, family advocacy, and case coordination for children who may have experienced abuse. We also offer prevention education to schools and organizations.
Is there a cost for services?
No. Every service we provide is completely free to children and families. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, funded by grants, donations, and community support.
Do you work with law enforcement or DHS?
Yes. We work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, and medical providers — all focused on putting the child first.
How can I support your work?
We rely on generous donors and local partners. You can make a one-time or monthly donation, host a fundraiser, or sponsor a service area.
Can I volunteer at the center?
Because of the sensitive nature of our cases, we have limited on-site volunteer opportunities. However, you can still support events, fundraisers, and community outreach efforts.
